The package hplip_for_puppy-1.7.4a.pet allows full control of HP printers.
For PSC-all-in-one models, allows scanning and accessing photo-cards.
The suffix 1.7.4a corresponds to the hplip version.


This version includes several improvements respect the previous  hplip_for_puppy_217-1.7.4a-i486.pet: 

1. The size of the package has been reduced
2. The optical text recognition program gocr is now included in the package
3. The package installs neatly in puppy versions from 2.17 to 3.01
4. With some extra work, it can be used in other puppy versions. For instance,
in order to install it in puppy 2.16, cups must be also installed.
